This is the day you have all been waiting for with bated breath, the reveal of my latest painting endeavour.
Da-da-da-da.......
A little leg....
Let's look at the before:
From 25 bucks....
to
lookin' like a million!
The headboard is the second diamond tufted headboard I made. Want to make one for yourself?
You can follow the step-by-step here.
The bedding is changing and I am not sure about the shade/lamp combo, it has bothered me for a while. Can't quite put my finger on what is wrong.
Still need to do the final touches on the room
{and finish the other daughter's room as well , he-he, that one has been taking me - gulp- almost a year}.
One a side note:
J, who loves her new end table celebrated her 15th birthday yesterday.
Yup, my baby girl is 15!
{yes, that is my son in his plaid shirt- plaid pj combo, such a stylin' guy}
More exciting news:
I have THREE superstar Canadian designers who have agreed to participate in my "So Canadian, eh?" series!
Stay tuned!
it looks incredible and I LOVE the color!

P.S. Nothing like a little show of turquoise leg to get us all excited, hey?! ;-)
That's fabulous Barbara, I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteLove the lilac and light turquoise color combo happening here - perfect saturation mix, Barbara! Cool to see these old pieces getting a new lease on life, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGreat job Barbara!! I am loving the colour!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! It looks absolutely gorgeous. I'm afraid to do mine now:) It's hard to believe the before and after are the same table. So, so, so great!
ReplyDeleteI love all the color combinations! The light purple with the turquoise just is so cheerful. I actually like the way the black bedding grounds the room, are you going to go with black again? I think that if that lampshade has a harp on it, you could get a slightly longer harp to raise the shade up a bit, that might be what is bugging you. It is sitting kind of low on the lamp. Great job on the side tables, million bucks for sure!
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the lamp is just really simple. I like the stand for sure, but maybe if you got a colored lampshade. Maybe pale yellow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color. If you can just look past a finish you don't like at the shape of a piece, paint can really work wonders.
ReplyDeleteLooks fab!! Love the colour!
ReplyDeleteVery excited to see your feature on Canadian designers!...The job you did on the night stand is wonderful..Lucky girl!
ReplyDeletei love it, love the blue! congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteNice, very, very nice.

Looks fantastic Barbara!! Love the shade of blue, your daughter must be pleased!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The color is awesome. One of my favorite colors (:
ReplyDeleteHi, from Ontario, Canada. I'm your newest follower! I stopped by from SNS at Funky Junk Interiors, and I'm glad to have found another Canadian blogger.
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful new colour on your sidetable. Very pretty! The lamp is pretty and I like it, but maybe the height of the shade and the height of the base are too similar (hard to tell with only one photo.) Just a guess, though. I'm looking forward to the series. For Christmas decor this year I tried to decoarate different areas of our home with more of a Canadiana theme, so I'm very interested in seeing this upcoming series.
Gorgeous!
