Inside: Refinishing a vintage teak coffee table with Rustoluem's Varathane stain and top coat. Learn how to strip an old finish, sand, clean and apply a new finish to bring an old piece back to life!
Last spring I was part of Rustoleum's #we_wood spring campaign where I took over Rustoleum's Instastories and refinished a project that could be done in one day. I decided to refinish a vintage teak coffee table my parent's purchased in the mid-70's and that I ended up with. About 15 years ago after years of neglect and some damage done by puppy's teeth, I had stained the table with an opaque black stain. Fast forward to now, I was finding the table visually heavy and the top had begun to show signs of wear. I decided to strip, sand and stain the table and give it new life!
