One Room Challenge | Laundry Room: Week 3

Welcome to week three of the One Room Challenge! If you are new here, I am a kindergarten teacher by day and DIY/design aficionado by night. My husband and I are currently renting our home, but it hasn't stopped me from creating a comfortable and beautiful home for our family.

We are tackling our laundry room for the One Room Challenge, and it is all about being VERY budget friendly along with renter friendly. I will take you through my process as we drag this out over 8 weeks!

week  1      |   week  2

Not much has happened in the space as I have been trying to finish other projects that don't really need to be done but yours truly LOVES to procrastinate...

Renter Friendly Update Tip:

Another way to update your rental space is to switch out cabinet hardware. In our kitchen makeover I bought some inexpensive matte black knobs for the cabinets. Last night, I removed the ugly plastic handles and filled in one of the holes on the cabinets. I'm excited to have partnered with Emagn Designs, as Canadian hardware company with simply stunning one of a kind hardware. It took a while to decide which hardware to go with, but I was trying to balance the plain flat fronts of the cabinets with the scale of the hardware their offer. They sent me a few samples. But one pull caught my eye right away!

The Timeless pull in satin brass with black stainless in 160 mm length.

 Gorgeous!

I think it will glam up the plain flat front laminate cabinets and will go beautifully with the wallpaper, that I am installing this weekend!
Hurrah!

Here is the mood board in case you haven't read my last few posts!

What do you think?

Just a reminder of what I am working with....not pretty at all.

Check back next week, I promise there will be more progress!

In the meantime, please go visit the One Room Challenge blog to see what other amazing makeovers are happening.
