Hello?

Hello!! Hello?

Anyone still reading this blog?

No, I did not fall off the face of this earth, just wrapped up in life. Teaching kindergarten has taken over my LIFE! I really do enjoy kindergarten! Where else can you turn everything into a song and they all start to sing along with you? I love the energy, the hustle, the bustle, and the creativity. But is SUCKS the life out of me! Those kindy kids are exhausting. If I don't watch them like a hawk, someone's hair will get cut, stuffed animals will go flying, little pumpkins get squashed and paint will spill.
I keep wanting to work on a few projects around the house, but by the time the weekend comes I am pooped. Oh, and several glasses of wine later, and I am glued to the sofa.

I love how many of you still stick with me, even though I am become a bit boring.

Thanks. Love you.

Moul Falls in BC. Our family had fun running underneath the falls. What a thrill!

I do have a few pillows that I am going to whip up...soon! A piano to paint. A house to re-paint. And how I would LOVE to sell some furniture on Craigslist and start again. So bored...yawn.

And I am excited to be working on a few projects with a few brands for the upcoming holiday season!!!! Woot woot!

Fingers crossed I can cough up a few blog posts to keep y'all entertained in the next few weeks.

XO Barbara

  1. Don't worry, darling, I fell you! So much, actually!! I went back to teaching after a 3 years break and now I teach preeschoolers, first graders to eight graders, and yes, it really leaves me dead at night. Plus my two little girls, one first year in kindergarten and the other first grader, stuff still to build around the house, all that money needed for it, sucks the life out of me. I drop dead each evening:))
So, there's two of us, yeeey!!

  5. Boy, can I believe it! Sounds exhausting, but wonderful. Full-time work has left my blog pretty neglected too. So know you're not along. Happy to keep on reading as the posts come. Glad you're not pushing yourself to blog when you're not up to it. Cheers, Amy

  9. You are only 1 person and can only do what you can do. We are all big, grown up people. Not to worry. You have enough on your plate, my dear. Enjoy and carry on.

  13. Kindies are the very best of the bunch! They are so 'real' and love you to bits - what's not to love about that, right? But oh, that wine consumption come Friday - don't waste a drop because Monday comes almost as fast as the bottle is emptied!! ;-)

  14. I did part of my teaching practicum observing a kindergarten classroom and helping out. The teacher was someone who was born to do that job- so much energy! I enjoyed the kids, but like you, I was exhausted by the end of the day (and I wasn't 100% responsible for the kids!). I can see why blogging has had to take a back seat! And, yes, we're still here :)

  20. I hear you! Last year I had 22 K-1 and was exhausted at the end of the day. This year I have a nice small straight K (miracle of all miracles) and find the group makes such a difference! These little people don't seem to suck every breath of life out of me! Such a treat. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the holiday season. Have a fabulous pro-d and weekend!

  26. I have a feeling you might be living out my future. I can't even get on the sub list here in Ontario, just too many teachers right now. But, I've done my kindergarten training, and am hoping there's a kindie class in my future. Right now I'm still a stay at home mom, but my girls are at school all day. It leaves time for blogging, but despite all the posts and all the effort it never seems to grow enough. I'm torn between volunteering in a class more, or continuing to blog, blog, blog. Anyway, if and when I get in a classroom there's no way I'll be able to keep up the blogging like now. I feel your pain. I am looking forward to your Christmas projects, and I totally get the tired from school problem.
    All the best,
    Dannyelle @ www.lifeisaparty.ca
