~Renewed Energy~

After enjoying some wonderful R&R visiting Banff, Jasper and family at the farm, I am ready to tackle some projects that were left unfinished.

Mt. Robson (my husband took this amazing photo)

I have finished drafting the pattern for the upholstered headboards. Just need to sweet talk the husband into cutting out the shapes from some plywood and then I can FINALLY finish!

Here is a peak:

Hmm.. here are some projects I hope to tackle (if I write them down on my blog then I have no choice but to show you all the results!)

*Finish both girls' rooms
*Put together final touches on my son's room
*Paint sideboard and bookcases in living/dining room
*Sew slipcovers for dining room chairs
*Art wall up stairwell
*Art wall in family room
(Revamp bulletin board/message center in kitchen

Phew!

  1. Hope you had a great long weekend Barbara! The shape of your headboard is beautiful, very elegant...I need to get cracking on the one I'm doing for Carys. Can't wait to see your projects....I'm feeling tired just looking at the list :) I have to sew slipcovers for our dining chairs too....they are being destroyed by my kiddies and need a facelift. Take care!

  4. I love that you posted your to-do list to motivate/pressure yourself, great idea!! I can't wait to see the headboards, and the art walls (I'm trying to do an art wall as well but have been a bit timid thus far!). Good luck with all your projects Barbara, and congrats on winning the decor happy giveaway!

Who am I to boss you around... I have a list as long as yours!!
Your hubby's Banff photo IS awesome, but I've personally discovered that it's difficult to take a bad photo of the fabulous scenery in Banff!! ;-)
