Of course the shapes in the set are also lovely. Beautiful!!

I have some blue china too - mine was handed down to me through my Mother, via my Great Grandmother. It's been around for a while! It's a lunch set of Royal Crown Derby's Blue Mikado and it's so special to me... like your blue onion pieces are to you, I would imagine. It's "busier" in pattern then your set (very Japanese inspired) - something that's taken me a while to appreciate - but now all I see is beauty! Because our dining room is in perpetual renovation I don't have a place to display the set... but one day it'll come out of the attic!

Thanks for sharing your lovely pieces!
Victoria @ DesignTiesDesignTieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02561438683476880640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5961202434184678347.post-85905869224433720682010-01-28T20:43:42.597-08:002010-01-28T20:43:42.597-08:00I had a set of these too! Still kicking myself for letting them go.

Have you been to Prague? We spent two months there - what a gorgeous city.

Thanks for the history on the Blue Onion pattern and looking forward to seeing that laundry room.Catherine @ van Breugel Designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11327383690573780395noreply@blogger.com
